Etudes Studio x Ganryu

Études Studio x Ganryu (Self-initiated project)

France meets Japan. That is the purpose of this collaboration between Études Studio & Ganryu. After the opening of a flagship store in Tokyo that revealed the close link between Études and the japanese culture, this project sounds like a step forward in this union.

Ganryu was launched in 2008 by Fumito Ganryu, a former pattern cutter for Junya Watanabe. The line was released under the Comme Des Garçons umbrella and guided by the influence of that legendary brand to produce an aesthetic that is street inspired and often unisex, with an edgy and youthful feel.

Études is a french collective established in 2012 designing and producing men’s contemporary fashion & artists books. Études is also a creative studio involved in a lot of arts projects.

My goal was to create alternate streetwear styles based on a sporty trainer and a casual suede wallabee boot inspired by the aestetic of both brands. Exagerate lines, graphic prints and premium materials are in the center of this crossover capsule.
